HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!
.
.
.
.
.
.
When we find the love deep within ourselves,
When we find that we can truly love ourselves,
When we realize we would then never want to hurt ourselves,
When we realize that we are truly just love,
When we realize that each breath is a gift,
When we realize we share that gift with others,
When we realize that we are all God,
We then realize  we would never want to hurt another,
We then realize, we are all One.
Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
(little poem by me)

What is EARTH DAY?

From  Wikipedia: "Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969. A second Earth Day, which was founded by US politician Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in the late 1960s, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22."

Easter Sunday Class

Happy First Day of Spring!!

I am the decisive element

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily
mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized.
If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming."
--Goethe

Anyone who is intrested in attending please bring a hand towel, mat if you have one & some water.

I also wanted to add this will be a DONATION based class

What does "donation basis" mean and how does it work?
A donation is the sacred act of giving. There is a suggested donation of $10 a class. Suggested donation means that if you can put $10 in the envelope, please do. If you are not in a position to do so, contribute what you can. Nobody will be keeping track of individual donations. The $10 dollar donation is not meant as a bottom or a top limit… if you are in a position to donate more, it will be greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful Easter!!!

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!!!
Topic: Newsletter

Well with spring right around the corner we will be able to put on our walking shoes and get out there and enjoy the flowers that will be starting to pop up!!

After getting back from a workshop with Bryan Kest on Thursday in Cleveland, Ohio, I am feeling inspired and uplifted.

There are many things out there that we "feel" change our moods, but it is truly within us that dictates which direction we will choose to take that influence.  We need to stop the roller coaster of those mood swings!  When we are flying high and not a thing, we feel, can upset us, we have to remember not to get excited about that feeling.  The same goes for when we when someone ticks us off, not to get frustrated about this.  Or even getting frustrated that we are frustrated.

Why is this so important? Because we our responsible for our own action/inaction.  WE dictate whether we will get stressed, angry, happy, elated - NOT SOMEONE/SOMETHING ELSE.  Seriously, no one forces us to eat that extra piece of chocolate - NO ONE!  Once we are able to maintain a constant even keel of our emotions and attitudes, we then will have less stress... less stress means less illness, less sickness.  Our mind is more powerful than we let on... 100% of disease (dis-ease) is caused by our "thinking".

How can we help ourselves?  PRACTICE.  It is safe to practice this during a yoga class or guided meditation class, where other like minded individuals are around seeking the same goal.  We practice breathing deeply. We practice being frustrated and letting that feeling go.  We practice happiness and letting that feeling go.  We practice getting into poses without judgement, we practice on not getting into poses without judgement.  We practice being true to our own divine being... yes, without judgement.  We practice looking out our whole self with love in kindness.  We practice looking at others with love and kindness.  We practice being in this moment without reaction.  We practice just truly being.  Being one with ALL sentient beings.
